Serving Together as the Hands and Feet of Jesus

At Mount Pisgah, following Jesus means putting love into action. We are passionate about serving our local community and supporting global partners to bring hope, care, and practical help where it’s needed most. You don’t need to be a long-time member to jump in—there is a place for you to make a real difference.

Church Food Pantry

We stock an on-site food pantry to support both church members and neighbors in our local community who are experiencing food insecurity.

How to Get Involved: Donate non-perishable food items in the designated collection boxes in the Front Office, or help organize and stock pantry shelves.

Greensboro Urban Ministry (GUM)

We partner with Greensboro Urban Ministry to tackle hunger and homelessness in our city by staffing grocery store food drives and preparing/serving meals at Potter’s House community kitchen.

How to Get Involved: Join our volunteer team to collect food donations during community drives or serve meals at the shelter.

Red Cross Blood Drive

We host regular community blood drives in partnership with the American Red Cross to help save lives in local hospitals.

How to Get Involved: Donate blood at our next scheduled drive or help volunteer during registration.

Backpack Beginnings

Backpack Beginnings delivers essential items—including food, formula, diapers, clothing, school supplies, and comfort items—directly to children and families in need in the community.

How to Get Involved: Donate critical supplies or volunteer to help sort and package items for local schools and families.

Mobile Meals

Volunteers deliver hot, nutritious meals and provide friendly wellness checks to homebound elderly neighbors in our community.

How to Get Involved: Sign up to join a delivery route and deliver meals to local seniors.

Under the Bridge

We prepare and deliver hot meals, baked goods, and encouragement directly to unhoused individuals across our city.

How to Get Involved: Help cook meals in the church kitchen, bake treats at home, or join the team on-site to hand out food and connect with neighbors.

The Pregnancy Network

The Pregnancy Network offers free medical services, counseling, and practical resources to women navigating unplanned pregnancies. We partner with them through annual fundraising walks and community galas.

How to Get Involved: Join our church walking team, participate in our baby bottle change drive, or sponsor a table at the annual gala.

Angel Trees

Each holiday season, our congregation adopts local families, children, and seniors to provide wrapped Christmas gifts, winter coats, and essential items.

Pick an “Angel” tag from the lobby display during the holidays, buy requested gifts, or help sort and deliver packages.

Ringing of the Salvation Army Bells

We partner with the Salvation Army each holiday season to ring bells at local storefronts, raising critical funds for community relief programs.

Sign up for a 1- or 2-hour shift to ring bells at a local storefront.

Zander’s Kitchen

A non-profit community partner dedicated to preparing, cooking, and serving nutritious, delicious meals to local youth and families in need.

How to help: Volunteer to help prepare and serve meals, or donate supplies to support meal prep operations.

Operation Christmas Child

We pack shoeboxes with toys, hygiene items, school supplies, and encouraging notes to share God’s love with children worldwide.

How to Get Involved: Pack a shoebox at home, donate individual items, or volunteer at our collection center to help pack and ship boxes.

Marine Corps League

We assist local homeless veterans as they transition into permanent housing by providing essential home supplies, furniture, and support.

How to Get Involved: Donate move-in essentials or assist with delivering furniture and household items to veterans moving into new homes.
