Mount Pisgah Youth

“The Whobodies” is the name of our youth group here at Mount Pisgah Church and was established in 1975

The unique name “The Whobodies” was inspired by the book Whobody There written by Maxi Dunnam, the former World Editor of The Upper Room. Herb Henry, Mount Pisgah’s pastor at the time, discovered the book and felt led to name our youth group after it.

Shortly after forming, The Whobodies took their ministry on the road, traveling across the country as a Christian singing group led by Pastor Henry. Their musical journey reached a major milestone in 1979—just four years after the group’s inception—when they recorded and released an album titled God Is Greater.

From those early musical beginnings in the late 1970s to today, The Whobodies have remained a thriving, welcoming youth community centered on Christ, fellowship, and serving others!

Weekly Gatherings

When: Sundays | 12:15 p.m. – 1:50 p.m.
Where: Mount Pisgah Youth Room
What to Expect: A free lunch, an engaging lesson, and time to hang out and connect.

Retreats & Mission Trips

We love tradition, adventure, and serving others!

Summer Mission Trips: A week filled with hands-on outreach, fun, and adventure.
Spring & Fall Retreats: Weekend getaways to refresh and connect, including trips to favorite sites like Camp Cheerio.

Our Annual Pumpkin Patch Fundraiser

Since 1996, our Fall Pumpkin Patch has been a beloved tradition at Mount Pisgah. It’s a fantastic way to engage with our local community while raising funds that support our mission trips and youth programs.
