Sunday School

Agape

The Agape Class was established in the 1980s to grow in our personal faith and enjoy fellowship with other class members. Our commitment to missions includes those within our Church, as well as the global community. We actively volunteer, sharing our time, talents and treasures with others. The class often studies books by Christian authors who use scripture to teach biblical truths about the life God has for us. Those authors include Strobel, Ortberg, Graham, Lucado and Tripp, to name a few. We meet in Room 212 at 9:45 a.m. each Sunday morning.

Christians Under Construction (CUC)

Christians Under Construction (CUC) Sunday School Class is a diverse group of Christians supporting each other on our spiritual journey. Our diversity includes young and old, singles and couples, and married, widows/widowers, and divorcees. Each week, a Class Member will facilitate our study of the Bible. We typically focus on the Bible chapter(s) that our Senior Pastor references in his weekly sermon. We meet at 9:30-10:30 a.m. in Room 200 on the second floor at the end of the hallway. Come join us this Sunday!

Gathering

The Gathering Sunday School Class would like for you to be a part of our “lively group” of Christian friends/members. We meet each Sunday in the Parlor (across from the bathrooms just outside of the Welcome Center) from 9:30-10:30 a.m. We alternate between DVD Bible studies and talking about the scripture verses Pastor Jeff uses in the worship services. Our mission projects include making blankets and donating them along with many other useful items to the Greensboro Police Department and the Guilford County Sheriff’s Department, plus cooking for and serving the homeless at Urban Ministry six times a year.

The Page Bible Class is the longest established adult Sunday School class at Mount Pisgah. We meet each Sunday morning from 9:45-10:40 a.m. on the first floor in Room 114. Our studies are always Biblical and range from books or DVD study series by Biblical scholars to in-depth studies of the scriptures. In addition, our class gets together every other month for a time of fellowship, fun, food and laughter. We invite and welcome adults of all ages to join us. So whether you are 20 years old or 90 years young, please come and join us as we fellowship and study God’s Word together.

ThuMBS Up (Thursday Morning Bible Study)

We are a group of women who desire to grow in our faith and deepen our relationship with our Lord. We use studies that have us doing individual Bible study during the week and then we come together on Thursday mornings to share and discuss what God has taught us. Our meetings are 9:30-11:30 a.m. each Thursday morning from September through early May. We pray for one another, enjoy wonderful fellowship, and benefit from the Holy Spirit speaking to us through one another. We also bring donations for the Out of the Garden Project to support our community in combating hunger.

Men’s Thursday Morning Prayer Group

On Thursday mornings, there is a men’s combined prayer meeting and Bible study meeting in the Parlor adjacent to the Welcome Center. This event starts at 8:30 a.m. with approximately a half hour of time to share prayer concerns and blessings. At approximately 9:05 a.m., the group meets for another half hour to discuss a specific Bible passage (usually the sermon basis for the following Sunday). This is an open discussion with participation from any of the men present.

Women’s Tuesday Morning Prayer Group

We are a group that meets every Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. in the Conference Room. Our goal is to send cards to those who are grieving, experiencing a serious illness, surgery or other issues. We pray for them individually and ask that these cards be a blessing or encourage- ment to the receiver.
