Outreach & Missions

Mount Pisgah’s Mission is simple, Yet critical: to make disciples of Jesus Christ. We are enthusiastic about helping people experience the transforming love of Christ and become fully dedicated followers of Him. You will sense this passion in everything we do. In this brochure, you will find some of the ways our congregation reaches out into the community and around the world. We would love to have you join us to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus Christ!

Church Food Pantry

Food is collected during food drives in large boxes in the Volunteer Office. The Food Pantry is available to members and nonmembers during church office hour and on Sunday mornings.

Greensboro Urban Ministry (GUM) Food Collection

Staff Collection stations twice a year at local grocery stores. The next date is October 24, 2025.

Serve at Potter’s House community kitchen, providing meals to the residents of the Weaver House on the second Friday of every month.

Red Cross Blood Drive

Mount Pisgah hosts monthly blood drives on the First or Third Thursday; dates are posted in the e-news.

Backpack Beginnings

This organization provides tangible basic needs – food, fresh produce, formula, baby food, comfort items, hygiene products, school supplies, diapers, clothing, shoes, books, baby accessories and baby equipment directly to children and families in need.

Mobile Meals

Volunteers from our church deliver meals and check on elderly citizens in the community on the third Tuesday of the month.

Under the Bridge

(Version 2.0) Provides meals in homeless communities. We will be at different locations throughout the year. Watch the e-news for locations.

The Pregnancy Network

Provides counseling, nurse visits, free ultrasounds, and material resources to women facing an unplanned pregnancy. We partner with them during the Walk for Life each spring by fundraising and walking during the event. We also sponsor a table at the Triad Gala for Life each fall.

Angel Trees

Angel Trees identifies individuals/groups in our community to support with gifts during Christmas.

Ringing of the Salvation Army Bells

Is a yearly event to collect donations for the Salvation Army.

Zander’s Kitchen

Prepare and serve meals weekly to the Interactive Resource Center (IRC) and other organizations.

Operation Christmas Child

This organization sends shoeboxes full of toys, toiletries, and Bibles to children overseas to show Christ’s love. Our packing party will be in November TBD, immediately after the 11:00 a.m. worship. The 2025 collection dates are November TBD. We are taking 20 people to the Charlotte Processing Center in December TBD.

This organization aids with homeless veterans getting started in their own place.
